The entire demand for Pakistan was created, supported, and financed by Nawabs of UP, CP, Bihar, and Khojas, etc. The Aaga Khan and Raja of Mehmoodabad were leaders of these sponsors. People of UP, CP, Bihar were well educated, leaders in Business, and had experience in running enterprises. When partition was accepted it was created in areas other than Bengal which never voted for the Muslim league.
The Nawabs of UP, CP, Bihar immigrated to Pakistan along with Gujarati, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Marathi speaking Muslims. Mostly Bengali-speaking Muslims migrated to East Pakistan and Urdu-speaking Muslims immigrated to West Pakistan. Gujarati, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil speaking Muslims also migrated to West Pakistan, especially in Karachi.
The migrants did not have anything in common with the original inhabitants of Pakistan but with the support of league leaders like Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Liaquat Ali Khan, etc they immediately succeeded to capture the business in Pakistan and were inducted into Bureaucracy and became the government. The Sunni Muslim leadership of Jamat-E-Islami opposed the creation of Pakistan but after partition, they were the biggest gainers as the Majority population in West Pakistan is Sunni adhering to Barelvi and Deobandi schools, they were able to control and direct the discourse towards the hardline interpretation of Islam.
The first difference between East and West Pakistan arose immediately after Pakistan when without considering the majority of Bengali-speaking people and their support for the creation of Pakistan and their case was set aside and Karachi was declared Capital of Pakistan and Urdu was declared only one national language along with English. All communication of Pakistan began in Urdu and to force the usage and complete domination of Urdu it was associated with Islam and declared the language of religion, and ultimately it became the only language of the country.
The language of instruction in schools became Urdu and English. This sowed the seeds which later resulted in creating Bangladesh. This one language resulted in the creation of two units, West Pakistan and East Pakistan by abolishing provinces Punjab, Sindh, and NWFP to implement “One language One rule”.
