Buzdar is a Baloch tribe primarily living in Baluchistan.

The Buzdar tribe is of Rind extraction and usually associated with the mountain districts of the frontier near Dera Ghazi Khan. They are also to be found in Zhob, Thal-Chotiali, and Las Bela, whilst the majority of the population are said to live in Punjab. They are usually graziers, and the name Buzdar is probably derived from Buz, the Persian name for the goat. Within the limits of their mountain home on the outer spurs of the Suliman hills, they have always been a turbulent race, and they were formerly constantly feuding with the neighboring Ustarana and Sherani tribes. In 1857, their raids into Punjab drew upon them a punitive expedition under Brigadier-General Sir N. B. Chamberlain. The Sangarh pass was captured and the Buzdars submitted.

There are many subcastes of Buzdar, such as Chakrani, Dostilani, Ghulamani, Ladwani, Jahanani, Jalalani, Mirkhani, Rustmani, Shadmani, Shahwani, and Siahani. Jahanani is the chief family.

Baloch tribes are scattered in different areas of Pakistan. Some members of this tribe are also settled in Sindh. The Buzdar tribe has numerous subtribes, among which Rustumani is perhaps the most prominent. Among others, the Rustumani tribe is widely distributed in Balochistan, Punjab, and Sindh provinces of Pakistan. The part of Buzdar tribe resides in conjoined areas of Balochistan and Punjab in the mountain ranges of Koh e Suleman. These areas generally do not have access to electricity, telecommunication, transportation, and sewerage systems.

The Buzdar Tribe is traditionally known as warriors, educated, polite and hospitable. The Buzdar tribe has three union councils, namely UC BARTHI, UC FAZLA KUCH. UC MUBARKI.

Sardar Fateh Muhammad Khan Buzdar is the chief of Buzdar tribe. The headquarter of Buzdar tribe is the Sardar Qalat BarthI. Sardar Jameel Khan Buzdar and Ashiq Khan Buzdar are two key political persons from Mehraywala.

More than 90 percent Buzdar youth serving in Pakistan army and in the frontier core, the literacy rate in Buzdar tribe are wonderful. They are getting the education and getting scholarships all over in universities of Pakistan. Most number of doctors, engineers, and advocates in Taunsa Sharif belongs from Buzdar tribe. Hazrat Peer Sufi Nazar Hussain is the most famous (BUZARG) of the bar tribe. His resident is in Basti Buzdar. Buzdar tribe also lives in Taunsa Sharif. Mangrotha Basti Buzdar, Mithy Wali, Dera Ghazi Kha Mehray Wala, Sikhani Wala Rajanpur. Now more than70 percent Buzdar tribe people shifted from Tuman Buzdar in Tunsa Sharif.

Prof Mir Wahid Buzdar, Mir Haji Momin Buzdar (late), Mir Sufi Ishaq Sajid Buzdar (late), Mir Hazrat Muhammad Ali Chigha Buzdar (late), Mir Ustad Deena Jafrani Buzdar, Hafiz Dandaka Buzdar (late) Ghulam Qadir Buzdar are some famous poets of the Buzdar tribe.
Sardar Sherjn khan Buzdar advocate is a good personality of Buzdar tribe. He is practicing lawyer at Lahore high court Multan bench Multan.

Sardar Mir Fateh Muhammad Khan Buzdar has been MPA three times before. Sardar Mir Jameel Khan Buzdar was the previous UC Nazim of Sikhani Wala (Rajanpur).

Mir Raja Javed Khan Buzdar was MNA from 216. He has fought his first election in his city. He belongs to Buzdar Wada Khairpur Mir's.
