In the
riots which preceded the partition of Punjab on 17 August 1947, about 2 million
Punjabis were killed in the retributive genocide and 20 million Punjabis were
displaced.
The Time
Magazine of September 1947 gave killing statics around one million Punjabis.
This was the figure of September and till October; it was more than two million
and the largest genocide after the Second World War.
UNHCR
estimates 14 million Muslim Punjabi, Hindu Punjabi, Sikh Punjabi were displaced
during the partition. This was the figure of September and till October; it was
more than 20 million and the largest mass displacement in human history too.

Population of the Punjabi Nation is 200 Million and it's the 9th largest ethnic
group of the world. Religiously Punjabi nation is comprised of Punjabi

Punjabi Hindus 26% means 52 Million and Punjabi Muslims 56% means 112 Million.

Should
demand to declare the 17 August as a "Punjabi Holocaust Day". It's
the matter of human dignity and respect so, Human Rights Organization should
have to take this issue in the limelight.
